FEATURED FAMILY TRIP OF THE MONTH
This past week I had the pleasure of attending the South Florida Science Museum with my daughter’s school, the T.L.C. Leadership Academy. I had not been to the museum since I was in elementary. I was just as excited as the kids were to visit the museum. All I can say is that things I have really changed since my school days. The museum was very interactive and educational. The children loved the hands on exhibits and play areas. The SF Science Museum offers plenty of family oriented programs and events for all ages. It offers parent-child classes, programs for parents and their children 5 and under, as well special events throughout the year. Other programs include summer camps, the observatory, planetarium, educational workshops, and birthday parties. The best part about the museum is the volunteer program. For those individuals with free time to offer, this would be a great opportunity to learn as well give back to the children. You can become a member as well at the SF Science Museum. They offer three different membership levels.

A FAMILY THAT PRAYS TOGETHER
April 9th, 2014
Every Thursday starting April 17th, I will share with you highlights from our family night bible study that is held every Wednesday night rain or shine. This week I would like to share with you the purpose behind family night bible study. On January 30th, 2014, my family experienced a very life changing event. While visiting my brother’s girlfriend at their home, our youngest daughter managed to get out the back door and into the pool. When it was discovered she was no longer in the home, my oldest daughter pulled her from the pool and I begin to perform CPR until the paramedics arrived. After two long agonizing weeks in Pediatric ICU, our daughter was released from the hospital healthy and alert. This event tested our family and faith. However, we know that with Yahweh all things are possible. We asked and therefore, we received. My husband gave his life to the Lord. His desire was for the family to grow closer together in prayer and in the His word. Every Wednesday night, we gather at the ministry that Yahweh has entrusted to my mother Minister Martina Walker and enjoy food, family, and bible study.
